Head constantly swiveling around in search of his buddies, Ace keeps his eyes, ears, & sensors peeled for any hint of them or of anything that may require his attention.
Upon approaching the blockade to the part of town Mister X is probably within & waiting, Ace pulls out his decoy ComLink & starts to fiddle with the screen as if searching for something.
The airwaves seem crowded tonight, so figuring he might have trouble getting a signal, Ace decides to employ a bit of encryption to help punch the signal through.
He's still fiddling with his decoy when the message from Mister X comes in, so he uses that as the cover to pretend the decoy call connected successfully.
Replying entirely silently via his internal, he radios to Block & Mister X: "Hey guys. I'm here. Where are you? This place is jumpin' & it's hard to see anyone I know in the place."
Ace pretends to pull his ComLink away & stare at the screen as if it's suddenly gone nuckin futz, then looks up, looks around trying to see if he can spot his friends, & holds the decoy up to his ear again.
With a shout of "Wait a minute! I can't hear a damned thing!" he tries to radiate an aura of incompetent twerp having trouble placing a simple Com call.
Elbowing his way to the curb he manages to scramble atop a bus bench to try & see over the sea of heads, the better to locate the rest of his chummers.
With a finger stuck in the opposite ear, the decoy pressed to his head as if unable to hear, & shouting in a comedicly over the top fashion to make people ignore him, Ace yells "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?"
Neck craning, eyes scanning, sensors searching, he turns a slow 360 in place upon the bench to try & spot his team...
