        'only' 1 KHz..? =) by EnzoMatrix 2011-11-09 00:53:29
Well, if that'd be enough.... ^_^

Granted, the BASIC stamp is a nice little toy and performs well enough for simple tasks. Don't do anything complex with it though.

The Propeller on the other hand, is a mutant...
8 cores, max processing speed 80 MHz. Each core can be programmed seperatly, using SPIN (a Propeller DSL).
A polling loop? I suppose, since the Propeller doesn't have any interrupt channels either. But it'll poll at a maximum speed of (IIRC) 10 MHz, if you use a seperate core.

The community around it is so active, it'll blow your mind. Think of any hardware / peripheral and either somebody will have written an object for it, or dump it on the forums and soon there will be. Of all the micro controllers out there, the Propeller has a special place for me.. ;-)
