        Ace's reaction... by ShadowSystems 2016-10-24 17:45:03
Ace hops up at the knock, uses the periscope attachment on his door peep-hole-lens so he can look out without actually standing behind the door & thus in the line of fire should the person outside notice the darkening of the lens as

someone steps up to use it, & wonders if he's hearing things when he doesn't see a face in the circle of vision.
Just before deciding to ignore it & go back to being bored he hears Block's gruff voice on the other side & nearly tears the portal off it's hinges in delight.
With a hearty cry of "DUUUUUDE!" Ace settles down to listen to Block's request & then smiles nearly hard enough to split his face in half.

"Sounds like a plan! I'm parked downstairs so let me lock up the place & I'll meet you there in a tick!"

He's jazzed at having something to do, someone he likes to do it with, & getting a direct request to go driving.
He pats his pocket to verify the car keys, takes a subjective forever to lock all the door's deadbolts, then bounds down the stairs after his chummer.
With an excited ululation like a drunken monkey high on caffeinated bananas, Ace nearly *vaults* the stairs in his hurry to beat his friend to his ride.

"Last one there has to listen to Polkaaaaa!"
