      Ace's actions. by ShadowSystems 2017-06-25 23:03:30
Upon noticing X's rather gore-splashy, tummy cleaving, ichor fountaining, impressive sword swing on the Thing on the gurney, Ace eases off his single minded focus on It & turns to look elsewhere.
Is there anyone, anything else in the room that needs a bullet?
A look up at the ceiling to scan for crawling things clinging up there, because spiders seem to like ceilings for some schtooopid reason.
A quick left-to-right scan of the walls to see if there are any crawly things taking a different path towards us.
A scan of the floor to see if there are any skittering our way, because that would be par for the course.
Can I smell anything, or has the ichor from the Thing currently pretending to be a side of spiral cut ham on the gurney overpowered my schnoz?
Can I hear anything that might make me want to dive for cover?
If my senses & sensors come up empty for the moment, then I'll try to come down off my adrenalyn rush to stand still enough to let Block work on my arm.
It really IS impressive what one of those pain limiters can do!

I'm forgetting something important, I just _know_ I am.
