Note to my coworker by sspiffy2020-02-21 10:36:42

I once was on a city bus coming home from my job midtown when a driver cut us off. The driver slammed on the brakes, stuck his head out the window, & cussed the idiot out for being unable to drive. Unfortunately the folks that called to complain about the "foul mouthed bus driver" forgot to mention the dumba3 driver that caused it all. Having been sitting in the first bench seat in the door opposite the bus driver & having a good view of the incident, I preemptively called in my version of what had happened, praised the driver for quick thinking, & gave my full name and phone number. That turned out to be the critical factor as none of the complainers had left theirs.
The next time I got on the bus & he was behind the wheel, he shook my hand & thanked me for sticking up for him. He said something to the effect of a dozen jacka3es all braying but not wanting to identify themselves versus one person that had the balls to say it like it really happened. He started letting me ride for free if I was short of cash, a fact I was very greateful for when I later lost my job.
Moral of the story: make sure you've got a dash cam running to record everything, the better to have proof to defend yourself when the s4 hits the fan.
Mister Jameson, if you're reading this, I'm old enough to drink that beer now. =-)p
