      Ace's actions... by ShadowSystems 2015-10-14 08:46:52
Upon hearing the errant transmission about three at location Jaguar, Ace triggers his internal ComLink to try & locate the source of the transmission.
Is it nearby & strong? Far away & weak? Is it on the exact same freq as our supposedly encrypted ComLink channel to Tiny & if so how is the cross-talk possible?
If it's not on the exact same freq (just a few decimals to either side) then can it be isolated & separated from our own channel, such that I can monitor it for potential PayData?

Twigging to the trio that arrives at the bus stop across the street, Ace uses his external ComLink to check the Transit Authority TimeTables for when the next bus to that stop is due to come through.
If it's sometime soon then no problem; if it's stopped running this time of night then we may have a problem.

((Electronics Skill Group, +3(Log) +2(Rating) +3(ComLink). Rolls: 3, 6, 5, 5, 3, 5, 5, 5. Gah! Fives everywhere!))

As he waits for the data on the bus to arrive, Ace tries to get a better look at the other trio in a "I'm not looking at you" fashion.
A slow & casual scan of the street as if checking out the scenery, the buildings, the pedestrians, the traffic, as if trying to decide where to go next for some fun.
He'll slip his ComLink back in his breast pocket, sending the output to his Internal for ease of sneakiness.
((Perception, +3(Int) +3(Rating) +3(EarBuds). Rolls: 6, 4, 1, 6, 5, 2, 3, 3, 3.))

((Do the rest of us hear what Mister X heard over the "Command Channel" or was that for his ears only?
If only he heard it then no problem, but if Ace heard it too then I'll have to update this post with Ace's reactions to that fact.))

Ace scans the Pioneer Supermarket windows pretending to look for any interesting specials, sales, or products being displayed.
Sometimes you can find some real bargains late at night when the stores might have to slash prices in the hopes of making a sale before having to remove it from the shelves as past it's expiry date, out of fashion or season, or is being replaced by a newer model.
He's really trying to see if he spots either the Lady or Reggie inside, which would make tonight's job a hell of a lot easier.
((Perception: 2, 1, 2, 4, 1, 1, 5, 5, 5. Wellll... poop.))

Ace trades polite smiles & nods with Block & Mister X as they form up near by.
In a casual, unconcerned tone & volume he asks aloud "So, where do you think we can get a drink & see some Hawt Chicks around here?"
Over his internal ComLink via the encrypted Group Contact for just the two of them, to Grunyon & Mister X he says more seriously: "Take a look at the three at the bus stop & memorize their faces. If we catch them following us, we may have to either lose 'em or slag 'em."
Once more out loud as if unconcerned about being overheard he quips: "If the place serves barbeque wings with that wierd dipping sauce, then that's even better."
Via the ComLink again: "Shall we mosey towards the Park? I feel as exposed as if my fly were unzipped & my b4s were sitting on my shoes."
*COUGH*
