You ever have one of those days... by ShadowSystems2008-09-03 14:11:08
The DMV must die. by ShadowSystems 2008-09-15 16:02:13
They claim that they sent a set of paperwork to my Doc back in July.
This paperwork was filled out & returned in time.
The DMV decided my health wasn't good enough, so they sent Kaiser *another* set of the paperwork.
Yes, the SAME forms they had JUST filled out.
Kaiser acknowledges they received that 2nd set, filled it out, & sent it back.
The DMV claims they never got it, & consequently suspended my CDL.
The DMV says that, until I can get my Doc to fill out a THIRD copy of that paperwork & get it to the DMV, the DMV has absolutely NO reason to reinstate my CDL.

My Doc, rightfully, says "I've already filled it out TWICE. Why the F4 should I fill it out a THIRD time? ESPECIALLY since it's been less than a MONTH since I filled out the FIRST set. His health hasn't changed, the 3rd set would be a virtual carbon copy of the 1st with just the dates changed!"
The DMV says "So? Send us the 3rd set, or he doesn't get his CDL back."
My Doc asks "Then what if we just send a copy of the first set?"
DMV: Fax it right over.
Doc: We can't fax patient records, it's a violation of HIPPA.
DMV: You faxed us the first set...
Doc: No, we Courier Delivered the first set, which is how we deliver ALL requested Government patient record information.
DMV: If you mail it, it will take longer to get the issue resolved, & we've already HAD a problem getting the documents you SUPPOSEDLY mailed.
Doc: We didn't MAIL it. It went via a Courier. From our office, to the Courier's hands, to yours. We have a copy of it in his records along with the proof that it was sent out by the Courier Service we use to deliver Government patient record matters.
DMV: Well, we never got it.
[About three more DAYS of this he-said-she-said BS.]
Doc: So if I send a copy of the 1st set, that will satisfy your need for his medical record?
DMV: Yes.
Doc: Then it will go out via the Courier later today.

This entire time, the DMV refuses to speak to the Doc's office directly, forcing ME to play Message Boy between them.

I just got off the phone (AGAIN!) authorizing my Doc to go ahead and mail (via the Courier) the documents to the DMV.

Oh, the "Courier" in this case is a Notarized Attorney who's job it is to make sure that the transfer of Patient Record Data doesn't violate HIPPA.
That's ALL he does is make sure the paperwork from Kaiser goes directly into the hands of the Government Agency requesting the paperwork.
It does NOT go via regular mail, the USPS never see's it.
It goes from the Kaiser office, into his hands, to the DMV, & into the hands of a verified DMV employee.
Telling Kaiser that they didn't get the paperwork & "it must have gotten lost in the mail" gets you *ZERO* distance with Kaiser.
There's an ATTORNEY, HAND DELIVERING IT.
You got the F4ing paperwork, you just don't know where the f4 you PUT it, you incompetent a3h4s!

(DEEEEP breath)

Now I have to sit here & wait for the DMV to get them, and then HOPE that they decide I'm fit to drive...

MY ability to drive is being determined by some incompetent BOOB at the DMV who seems to feel *I* am unfit to get behind the wheel.
Listen A3H4, if I have to do this phone-tag-BS ONE MORE F4ING TIME, I'm VERY likely to snap & come RUN YOUR WORTHLESS A3 DOWN!
Then it'll be BLATANTLY OBVIOUS I'm "not fit to drive"...
Because DEAD PEOPLE don't need a driver's license.

(Goes off to take an ice cold shower in hopes that it'll dampen the fires of rage.)
