              Well, this project is really straightforward, by LongFist 2011-11-11 07:02:17
no real heavy lifting anywhere:

     | ThermoCouple | -----> | Maxim MAX31855 | -----> | Propeller | - ----> | USB | -----> | PC | -----> | Software |

All unidirectional, A/D conversion taking place within the Maxim MAX31855, so the biggest challenge is keeping the data flow synchronized.  I figure using 5 cores to monitor two Thermocouples apiece will be easy enough, and what with the maximum sample rate being once per second I should have some room to boogie.  Of course, I've never used this chipset before, and Spin is a new language to me, so there may be "complications" as to how it actually ends up working.

Of course, I'll have to build it and start playing with it to be sure.  And I'll keep updating here, so you guys can giggle with me as I learn how it all goes together.     :-D
