I just have to let everyone know about my new boat...
It's a Flying Scot, which is a 19 foot centerboard day sailer, brand new, and straight from the builder. I've had her out around a half dozen times now, and it'a beautiful craft, handles like a dream.
We had the christening awhile ago.. the name? Dust Puppy, of course. My last boat, and old but faithful beater, was Hobbes. Different era, different muse.
In any case, I had a nice profile emblem of Hobbes one the bow, and would like to do similar with DP, but he is a rather difficult character to capture in a graphic, to say nothing of painting on. Any ideas, fellow UFies, on how I might capture a suitable graphic (around 6 inches or 20cm is about the right size) and transfer onto a dark blue fiber glass hull?
