Not unexpectedly, the initial trace to find out more about the lovely Ms Jillian turn up ... empty. You figure it must be because she took precautions and kept her signatures to a minimum. There are people out there, you know, like that. They're mostly called "paranoid delusionals" though. Still, she's a bit of an enigma.
Ace: What a massively GREAT idea, seeing if she is a DocWagon customer (it's possible, she's a Branch Manager). Independent thinking like that is exactly what cracks these sorts of cases. Block: as far as you can see, the buzz around is about some sort of betting, and - a championship? It smells heavily of organized crime, which could mean many different things, depending on your point of view and your level of involvement. Ghoul Hunting may not attract law enforcement attention initially, but you can be sure that NYPD's best will be curious about all that noise and such going on from time to time in the poorer neighborhoods... ...so might the gangs, for that matter. They don't take poaching on their turf so well, at least not unless they're taking their cut off the top...
