Actually, it wasn't on an actual camping park (?). It's just a small piece of land that the owners lent to the town office for that purpose. In turn, the town office built 4 cubicles with a toilet and a sink each. On the exterior of the cubicles there are 5 showers, one dish sink and a mirror, with a power outlet near-by. That's it. No hot water. Simple. They only use it during the motorcycle gathering and the Interceltic Festival (2 weekends in a row, during Summer), so it's really fine. Plus, it's free! ~;)
As for noisy neighbours, let's see...
During the weekends: C'mon! It's PARTY TIME!! Who wants to SLEEP?! ~:D
During the week in-between: I have the place all to myself. I can sleep all I want! The only thing that bugs me are the bugs (some more than others, LOTS of spiders, one intruding praying mantis (had to put him outside twice), some flies, no mosquitoes). Apart from that, it's birds (and bird poo) and little else. ~:)
The downside is that I'm mostly on my own, but I go out and mingle with the town's folk (which have literally "adopted" me since I first went to the motorcycle gathering). Still, I am bit lonely sometimes. Apart from that, it's 2 weeks of paradise. ~:)
On the other hand, I ALSO appreciate (very much indeed) your ExWife's favourite form of "Camping". ~;D |
