- isopropanol, alc, etc., gasoline if you like it hard and wear a gas mask; gel (glycerin) prevents overly fast evaporation of effective incredient; simple soap / normal hygiene seems to suffice in general; increase measures if you're at increased risk (health issues, exposure)
- by UV light:
Effective, but needs time and the light being able to reach each spot it is meant to affect, i.e. for rather regular surface structures, and/or several light sources, and/or rotation or manual flipping after a while.
- by heat:
oven, hot hair dryer (close-up), microwave, boiling; all of that can change/damage material structure, thus decreasing protective effectiveness of what you are treating
Remember: Disinfected is not necessarily clean, e.g. sprayed and wiped off maybe is - sprayed and left on might not be infectious for the moment, but the remains will make it less desirable to eat from. Also, if disinfecting your hands, soak a paper towel, use it to thoroughly wipe, and dispose of it, maybe apply some skin care. If treating someone else, gloves may be in order. |
