As Block pulls them away from the flight path of the upwards shooting miniature sun, he realizes what he's seen & stops screaming with a strangled gurk.
Unable to see it rise above his current orientation ((horizontal flight looking down/forward?)) he instead blinks as the Flare Compensation in his contacts triggers to counteract the otherwise blinding illumination.
This time his broadcast over the encrypted "Group to All" link is intentional as he growls: "One. Three. Do that again & I'll s4 on your head. You nearly made me soil my armor! Out."
Taking deep breaths to calm his racing heart, lower his blood pressure, & try to keep from having an aneurism or something equally fatal, Ace uses the moment to call back up over his shoulder to his friend.
"Sorry about that Block. Tiny mentioned the van getting slagged by a rocket & the next thing I see appears to be the booster flame of a rocket streaking up to kill us. Didn't mean to blow out your ears Mate."
With the appollogy thus made & his Fight or Flight reaction tamped down, Ace goes back to scanning the area below to take advantage of the additional light provided by the flare.
Senses open wide, sensors running full bore, trying to determine if anyone or anything below that can now be seen is worth reporting back.
Hell, even if it's NOT worth reporting, that in itself will be worth reporting!

Something twigs in Ace's mind & he remembers something from his broadcast to all prior to the... errrmmmm... Incident.
He reviews the trideo he tried to take of the Phaeton, blinks as he realizes the obvious anti-electronic camouflage blurring taking place, & grunts as if suddenly kicked in the crotch.
Over the link Leeson used he sends back: "Mister Magic, be aware that the b7 is actively hiding against electronics. If you can use magic to hunt it then more power to you Mate."
Via the encrypted "Group to All" link he restates the probably bleeding obvious, but it makes him feel better than if he failed to do it at all.
"Primary. Three. The Phaeton is using active anti-electronic camouflage. Whomever is inside does NOT want anyone tracking it with sensors. Visual is fine, digital turns to haze. Do you want us to persecute or evade? Out."
If Tiny wants us to hound the bugger than Ace considers dropping a load on the roof. The car can mask itself, but can it mask organics splattered all over on top of the camo?
If he tells us to evade the sucker then that's fine too, but it may prove useful to cause it to not be as pseudo-invisible as it's occupants believe it to be.
Hmmmm... Ace's bladder could use with some emptying, would that work in a pinch?
