Sorry if I seem a bit "stand-off-ish", but Life seems to enjoy "throwing me a curve ball" (with "throw" being just under FTL, and "curve ball" being point-blank-to-the-groin-exploding-porcupine) every other femtosecond...
(Sighs)
For those of you who have your health, don't take it for granted; for those of us whom Life has decided "healthy" now equates to "Are you still breathing? Then shut the *&^% up." we envy you your ability to get up in the morning and do what you like...
The ability to take a walk around a mall without the very air doubling you over and making you spend a day in bed coughing up your lungs... ("Oh look, another perfume-spraying lady... Shall I cross to the far side of the mall, or let her try to kill me?" or "Oh yeah, the smell of freshly cooked mystery meat... I love the charcoal/sooty smell as it builds up in my *cough*... in my *COUGH!*...")
The ability to go to the park and play with your child and not feel like a total waste because pushing him on the swings wears you out so bad you nearly can't make it back to the car, much less drive home...
The ability to stand up for eight hours at a time so you can earn a paycheck... Hell, even sitting up for that long would be a good ability - at least I could do *something* instead of watching my Networking skills atrophy...
I'd trade you all your troubles in a heartbeat for just one day where I didn't wake up wondering if this is the day that I die.
