Not a geek, just a nerd.

I'm an analytical chemist, now doubling as a math and science tutor, somewhere in Chicagoland. Also into SF and mysteries, textile crafts, linguistics, and folk music and dance. I struggle to restrain my inner grammar nazi.

I'm not on the comment boards so much lately, but I have a presence on LiveJournal and often hang around Making Light under the same nick.
