I no longer have a California Driver's License.
"Until Further Notice, the DMV is suspending your driving privileges."
Further in the notice, they explain that, until my Doctor can give a "Clean Bill of Health" for me, the DMV won't even consider reinstating my license.
Given the fact that I'm Diabetic, I will NEVER have a "Clean Bill of Health".
Given that I was born with a heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, a predilection for cancer, poor eye sight, & Diabetes (all genetic inherited from both sides of the family), I have NEVER had a "Clean Bill of Health".
I guess that means I can no longer legally drive.
That I will NEVER be able to legally drive in this State again.
Which, of course, means I'll be adding myself to the roles of people who drive ANYWAY because we can't afford NOT to.
I just started a new job that's a 30 minute commute away up into the Sierra-Nevada Mountains.
There is no bus service, I can't afford to take a taxi, it's WAY too far to walk or bike, & there's no other option short of moving to the empty field out behind the building where I work.
So thank you, California, for F4ing over my life.
I'll drive ANYWAY because the alternative is to remain unemployed & a drain on Society for the rest of my life.
If you hear about a high speed chase that ends in a fiery, explosive death, it was probably me making a final statement ("F4 YOU!") to the State.
