of the local Mensa chapter. (Anyone with prejudices about Mensa can shut up. They have some great speakers, and I've met a lot of great people.) When I first heard they were moving for next year, I was very disappointed at the thought of leaving such familiar territory. Then it turns out they'll practically be within walking distance of home next year!

I've toyed off and on with the idea of doing a room party at one of these cons, but I'd have to find someone in the same fandom willing to share the work and expense. And arrange to have that weekend off.

If there's anything hospitalized, then all plans go out the window. If not, I'd have to check in at around 5pm, might be there until 6pm, and then I'd have an hour's drive to the con. So earliest I could count on would be 7pm. Wish they had some sort of a schedule available on the web site! I'll definitely want to be there for the Singing Tesla Coils. :-)
