[GeekPrincess] Diary of GeekPrincess Updated/Posted: 2003-12-16 07:37:08
Here are some topics that I think are worth taking the time to discuss:

FLORIDA'S NEW SMOKING BAN TOOK EFFECT JULY 1st
Isn't it about time we did something that made sense?
National Institute On Drug Abuse Talks About Cigarettes and Other Nicotine Products
Tobacco.org Articles

INTEREST ON THE NATIONAL DEBT
During the last fiscal year (Oct 2001-Oct 2002), our (American) tax dollars were used to pay
$332,536,958,599.42 (almost Three Hundred Thirty-Three BILLION Dollars) in Interest on the National Debt.
What do you think about this?
Should the chronic cycle of selling bonds to increase debt and paying interest be allowed to continue?
Has it really been necessary to continue to increase the National Debt over the past 20 years?
Couldn't we use those BILLIONS OF DOLLARS for more useful things like schools, instead of making a few people richer?
Interest on the National Debt Link The Problem Continues to Grow!

HYDROGEN CARS: They're out and soon to be available in the US.
How do you feel about the idea of switching to a pollution-free vehicle?
Do you think owning one would make a person seem more attractive?
